Need a Solution for Your Tree Problem?

Many problems can affect your favorite yard tree. Some of these problems are easy to combat while others are more serious and may take a while to fix. Are the leaves on your tree turning brown, or perhaps, it is not growing well? The good news is that you can solve most of these problems on your own. Here are some of the universal tree problems and how you can get them resolved:

Inadequate Nutrients and Mineral Recycling

In the forest, leaves fall off and decompose, providing abundant nutrients for trees. However, in our landscape, trees tend to suffer as a result of lack of nutrients. You can fix this problem by fertilizing your tree at the appropriate time. Also, mulching is another way to solve this issue. The soil nutrients get replenished with microorganism and nutrients as the mulch decomposes.

Compacted Soil

The soils in the majority of our yard get compacted due to various human activities; hence, the trees grow in this unfavorable condition. The solution here is to loosen up for the soil. You can employ the process called vertical mulching. It replenishes the ground in the root zone of the tree. Better still, you can mix organic matter with the soil to loosen the compacted soil.

Opportunistic Pests

Stressed trees are more prone to pest infestation. The common causes of tree stress include poor nutrition, poor environmental condition, and wrong location. The problem becomes aggravated if the tree is already competing with the surrounding grass for nutrients. The best solution in the case of pest and diseases infestation is early treatment. Also, try as much as possible to always be on the lookout for pests, and you may contact your local arborist for guidance.

Natural and mechanical Damage

Animals, lawn equipment, and any other garden equipment can damage the tree. For instance, rabbit and dogs can wreak havoc on your shrubs and trees. Apart from that, string trimmers and mowers can hurt the tree accidentally. The injuries afflicted by animals or lawn equipment always interrupted the circulation of water and nutrient within the tree. It is essential that you examine your trees regularly to detect serious injuries early. You can as well boost the health of your trees by mulching, watering, and fertilizing.

A tree is an essential part of our garden, be sure to be on the lookout for any problems or signs of distress with trees near you to ensure that they can be fixed early enough.
